We’re all getting bigger! It is a fact that the worlds population is getting larger.
This presents problems when trying to move patients in care. A solution was found by perfecting a very “slippy” surface to a strong but lightweight fabric. We achieved this using a high strength nylon fabric with a specially developed silicone coating.
You cannot wash silicone successfully and so we are now developing a slide sheet with a none silicone coating that is washable at 95°C for 100 washes.
In addition we are developing flame retardent versions and Anti-Microbial/Anti-Bacterial versions, plus a colour woven Polyester/Cotton face bonded to a slippy sheet reverse, savings two cutting & one sewing operation(s).
We continually develop solutions for our clients. For example:
- We developed a CIPP (Cured-in-PLce-Pipe) lining fabric, used in trenchless pipe repair and indeed the development goes on with a new revolutionary material that allows UV reaction of the resin.
- Flame Resistant ducting to JIS CPAI 84 & BS EN 1021
- Vertical self-extinguishing webbing
- A Polyester FR fabric used by an engineering manufacturer to cover heating elements.
